Our purpose-built studios in Bryndwr, Christchurch provide the ideal environment for drum and percussion lessons. With separate spaces dedicated to electronic drum kits and percussion with acoustic drums, we create tailored learning experiences for students. Each studio is fully equipped with professional instruments and technology, ensuring lessons are focused, engaging, and supported by the best gear available.
Electronic Drum Kit Studio

Our electronic studio is fitted with three Roland V-Drums kits, each paired with a professional sound module: one with a TD-9, another with a TD-15, and the central kit with a TD-17. This range of modules provides authentic playability, responsive feel, and access to a wide variety of drum and percussion sounds.

To support teaching, the studio also features a JamHub rehearsal mixer and headphone–mic system. This setup allows the teacher to play from the central kit while students are positioned on either side, making demonstrations clear and interactive. The headphone system gives each student time to focus and practise independently during lessons while still staying connected to the teacher’s guidance.
By combining Roland V-Drums kits with TD-series modules and an innovative monitoring system, our studio makes it possible to deliver engaging, individualised drum lessons that balance technology with hands-on learning.
Percussion and Acoustic Drum Studio
Our percussion studio is equipped for both one-on-one drum set lessons and specialist percussion training. The space includes two full acoustic drum kits, giving students the chance to develop their skills on traditional setups alongside the electronic kits used in our other studio.

For broader percussion study, the room is fitted with a complete range of tuned and untuned instruments, including marimba, vibraphone, glockenspiel, and timpani. This makes it possible to cover every aspect of percussion, from orchestral repertoire to contemporary drum kit performance.

Lessons are taught by Jonathon Tressler, who brings a strong focus on technique, musicality, and exam preparation. A typical lesson is divided into shorter, focused segments, allowing students to work across multiple instruments, refine specific pieces, and build a solid foundation in percussion and drumming.
